The
game of chess has been played for centuries, testing the minds
of board game strategists all around the world. Chess Korps provides
you with the opportunity to play out this classic game using
one-of-a-kind playing pieces representing the great armored fighting
vehicles of the Second World War.
 Superior craftsmanship
Chess Korps boards and playing pieces
are custom built, hand painted and super detailed by Jon Emery,
an award-winning modeler and graphic designer. Jon’s passion
for armored vehicles began as a youngster, and continued on through
his service in the Armored Cavalry of the US Army, and now as
a leading armor modeler.
Fantastic detail
 Each of the 1/100th scale game pieces are constructed
of resin and metal and are assembled by hand, with each mounted
on its own textured oak base with a felted bottom. Each piece
is hand painted and super detailed with accessories and figures
that make each vehicle unique.
The chessboard is an impressive
26 inches square that features a German map of Europe, the Mediterranean
and North Africa. Each square on the chessboard is 2.5 inches
square. The vehicles are perfect for individual display, and
the entire Chess Korps set makes a uniquely impressive presentation.
A Firestorm in the Desert
The first production of a Chess Korps
set features the armies of the North African desert in World
War II, the powerful British 8th Army and Rommel’s famed Afrika
Korps. Each of the vehicles has been carefully chosen for their
role and then hand crafted to bring out a superior level of detail.
