There have been publications
that have covered firearms, and armored vehicles, but never anything
(that I am aware of) that has been dedicated to the land-based
weapons of World War II. This was the seminal conflict for weapons
development, expanding on the concepts introduced in the First
World War, and advancing weapons technology at an amazing rate.
Another technology that also advanced at this time was
photography and, as cameras became widely available, the visual
documentation of the Second World War is second to none. WWII
Ordnance Illustrated is designed to bring all of those elements
together for the serious student of weapons systems and military
history. If you are interested in the weapons of World War II,
this is the magazine for you.
WWII Ordnance Illustrated is a quarterly publication, available
by purchase exclusively from Armor Plate Press. Interested writers
and researchers are encouraged to contact the editor. While this
publication does not actively seek advertisers, opportunities
exist to sponsor individual issues. If you would like to
sponsor an issue, please contact us to
learn more about upcoming issues. |
